The Goa Police on Friday arrested two more people, including a club owner and a drug peddler, in connection with the death of Haryana BJP leader Sonali Phogat. The cops also recovered drugs from the club's washroom.
"The owner was arrested because drugs have been recovered from the club. He was arrested after questioning. The nature of the drugs seized is yet to be confirmed," the Goa Police told India Today, adding that a lab report will confirm the nature of the drugs.
The Goa Police on Friday alleged that Sonali Phogat was drugged at a party by the two persons accused in her murder case.
Meanwhile, the doctor who conducted the postmortem had reserved his opinion on the cause of her death pending chemical analysis. He had written that “multiple blunt force injuries” were found on Phogat’s body.
