Shiva Shankar, one of South India’s renowned choreographers, died at the age of 72 yesterday evening - November 28, 2021.
Shiva Sankar Master and his elder son Vijay Shivashankar tested positive of coronavirus and the veteran dance master was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad for treatment.
According to reports, Shiva Sankar Master’s condition worsened and was later shifted to the ICU (Intensive Care Unit), but couldn’t survive and breathed his last on the evening of November 28 2021.
Shiva Sankar Master’s illustrious career spanned for four decades starting from mid-1970s as an assistant and gave many Tollywood hit numbers that starred mega star like Chiranjeevi and others.
Shiva Sankar choreographed Chiranjeevi in a song from the 1983 blockbuster hit 'Khaidi,' that brought him into the limelight.
In 2011, Shiva Sankar Master received the National Award for the song ''Dheera Dheera'' from Ram Charan’s 'Magadheera' directed by SS Rajamouli.
Shiva Sankar Master has choreographed more than 800 songs; his death moved many celebrities and his followers.
