L2: Empuraan – the second installment in the planned trilogy, follow-up to the 2019 hit ‘Lucifer’, is releasing on March 27, 2025 in multiple languages – Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada.
In a promotional event in Mumbai, actor Mohanlal who plays the lead in the highly awaited Malayalam biggie shared how Malayalam cinema has evolved and how important is Empuraan.

L2: Empuraan is jointly produced by Aashirvad Cinemas, Sree Gokulam Movies and Lyca Productions. The film stars Mohanlal, alongside an ensemble cast including Prithviraj Sukumaran, Abhimanyu Singh, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Jerome Flynn, Indrajith Sukumaran, Eriq Ebouaney, and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
