Veteran Kannada actor 'Kalatapasvi' Rajesh passed away in Bengaluru today. He was 89.
According to reports, ‘Kalatapasvi’ Rajesh was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru ten days ago - February 9 due to respiratory and age related complains. The veteran actor’s health started worsening this morning.
Reports further suggest that ‘Kalatapasvi’ Rajesh was kept on a ventilator.
The Kannada cinema industry and fans are deeply saddened by the demise of ‘Kalatapasvi’ Rajesh.
According to reports, the final rites will be arranged at the veteran actor’s Vidyaranyapura residence in Bengaluru at 6 pm this evening.
Born in Bengaluru on April 15, 1932, as Muni Chowdappa, Rajesh started his journey by acting in plays during his schools and college days.
Popularly known as ‘Kalatapasvi’ Rajesh in the film industry. Rajesh has won hundreds of film awards throughout his career.
Rajesh’s daughter Asha Rani wife of actor Arjun Sarja is also a filmmaker.
