Sarkaru Vaari Paata movie review
The first half has a very entertaining format as the lead pair's chemistry is unleashed for the most part. The comedy timing of the stars and lovely songs keep the audience engaged most of the time. It is only during the pre-interval block, that the proper story is unleashed.
Only when we enter the second half, does the main story build up and from there, it is filled with action and solid confrontation scenes. Though the logic goes for a toss, the audience gets entertained thanks to Mahesh Babu's stunning act.
Story-wise, there is no great potential and there are also not many twists in the showing. Parasuram has directed this film and he has played it to the galleries and showed what Mahesh can do when he gets an entertaining role. The emotions get connected to the audience and the middle-class angle of saving money and paying taxes to the government has also been explained well.
Performances
Superstar Mahesh Babu is in his elements in this film. In his previous outings, he had serious roles as the films were message-oriented. In this film, he goes all out for the masses and delivers a superb performance. He is quite energetic, and handsome, and dances like a dream in the film. If not for Mahesh, the film would have looked quite dull.
This is Keerthy Suresh's big break in doing a mass drama and she grabs the opportunity with both hands. She has a negative role and plays it with aplomb. The best part is the fun chemistry she shares with Mahesh in the film. This angle has been extracted quite well by the director Parasuram.
The main villain is played by Tamil actor Samuthiraikani and he is honest with his approach. His menacing role and especially all the confrontation scenes with Mahesh are amazing.
The biggest attraction of the film is the rustic action. Fight masters, Ram and Lakshman showcase Mahesh like never before in the fights, and the masses will love them. Thaman has scored the music and all the songs have already topped the charts and look visually stunning on screen.
The editing is a bit disappointing as close to ten minutes can be chopped off in the film. Senior lensman, Madhie has cranked the camera and his work is stunning as the visuals are rich. The story is also scripted by director Parasuram and it talks about how the rich default the banks and the pressure fall on the common man. Mahesh Babu has been styled well.
Final Word
Sarkaru Vaari Pata is a film that is filled with loads of entertainment and heroism. The story and logic go for a toss and this film's for the masses as it has everything a frontbencher looks for. For Mahesh Babu fans, it is a treat on-screen and for the regular audience, the film ends as a watchable fare.
