Rocking star Yash interview: “KGF 2 will be bigger and better”
Rocking star Yash has now become a phenomenon, the hype for KGF 2 is unbelievable across India, just a day before the release of his most awaited KGF 2, Rocky bhai aka Yash speaks about KGF 2, Hindi film offers, working with Sanjay Dutt and Raveen Tandon, breaking RRR records, future projects and much more.
I never expected such hype for KGF 2
KGF 2 is having a crazy hype all over. When asked about the same to Yash, he says "Even I did not imagine this kind of a craze for the film. When we were making the sequel, we made it without any pressure. But seeing the hype, there is enormous pressure on us to deliver. I hope we live up to all the expectations".
KGF 2 will be bigger and better
When asked Yash how the second part is going to be, he says "KGF 2 is going to be bigger and better. The presence of Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon will surely help the film in a big way. The action, emotion, and performances will be top notch in the sequel".
When asked how it was working with Sanjay Dutt, Yash says "It was a dream come true moment for me to work with Sanjay Dutt. When his name came up during the casting, I was worried whether he would even do a south film or not. But he came on board like a lion and has given KGF 2 a new recognition. More than the film, the moments I spent with him personally, I will cherish them forever.
When asked about KGF 2 beating the collections of RRR in Hindi, Yash says "I am not in the rat race at all. But going by the trend, the film will take a gigantic opening. Frankly, if the film beats the collections of RRR, I would be naturally happy as my producers will make money. For me, KGF 2 needs to be a big hit and that is all."
When asked about the work of director Prashanth Neel, Yash says "He has put Kannada cinema on the Indian map. With the second part, he has gone one step higher and as he knows the mass pulse quite nicely, he has narrated the sequel in a gripping manner. This is just his beginning and he will be India's biggest director in the days to come."
When asked about working with a star like Raveena, Yash says "I used to have a huge crush on Raveen from my younger days. It was lovely working with her and I can say that Raveena will shock everyone with her character in KGF 2. She is one of the highlights of the film."
When asked about Bollywood being in danger because of south films, Yash Says "The borders have been erased and it is Indian films now. Today south films are dominating Bollywood, tomorrow some other language films will go ahead. End of the day, it is the product and not the location from where the film is being made from".
When asked about his Bollywood plans, Yash says "I would love to do Hindi films and I have started receiving offers for the same. For me, the role and presentation need to be good. Gone are the days when language used to be a barrier. I am game for Hindi films now".
When asked about his future plans and career in films, Yash says "I am very clear when it comes to my career. I want to be on the top and there are no two ways about it. Whenever my films come out, the audience should celebrate it. With the love of the audience, I have become a star and I promise that I will give it back to them and work quite hard".
When asked about his next film, Yash says "I have already signed a few films and will only announce them one by one once the release tensions of KGF 2 gets over. For now, I am totally tensed about how the audience will receive the film.
