OTT web series Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story review
The writes Deepak Kingrani, Benazir Ali Fida and the directors Neeraj Pandey (also the creator) and Shivam Nair this time get personal. The four-episode series intriguingly traces Himmat’s personal journey juxtaposing with the task of eliminating the culprits behind the compromise of the intelligence intel via honey trapping from highly placed Indian officers to international agents.
New characters are introduced where Aftab Shivdasani joins him in the operation and there are enough surprises, thrills and emotions to win over the known clichés of a old school cat and mouse espionage thriller which this time comes with some dollops of glamour and romance.
Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story is also a warm portrait of a friendship and a realisation of guilt with subtle debate om morality and duty.
