Tanaav season 2 volume 2 review: A swashbuckling follow up at par with season 1
What: ‘Tanaav season 2 volume 2’ – the Indian adaptation of the superb Israeli television series ‘Fauda’ by Lior Raz and Avi Issacharoff is back. Sudhir Mishra and E. Niwas this time twine the prime elements of the series dehshat and insaniyat (terrorism and humanism) in a swashbuckling follow up with pulse-pounding action and moving emotions.
Tanaav season 2 volume 2 web series synopsis
Continuing from where the volume 1 of ‘Tanaav season 2’ ended, the second volume of ‘Tanaav’ season 2 sees the game between Fareed Mir aka Al Damishq (Gaurav Arora) of ISIS and Kabir Farooqui (Manav Vij) from the STG intensifies and gets more dangerous and personal that starts affecting the lives of their near and dear ones.
‘Tanaav season 2 volume 2’ has six episodes having a runtime of around forty minutes in average and after a good recap of volume 1, ‘Tanaav season 2 volume 2’ opens with Pak agency officer Shabbir Malik’s son getting shifted to Multanpura, while Junaid (Shashank Arora) is getting interrogated by Mallik (Rajat Kapoor) and his subordinate.
Notable for mixing the prime elements of dehshat and insaniyat (terrorism and humanism) with jaw dropping action (Ali Abbas Moghul – excellent job) amidst eye popping visuals (Quais Waseeq – breathtaking cinematography) and identifiable emotions. Karel Antonin’s haunting background score makes a solid impact.
The political ideology of audience regarding the Kashmir issue will vary but as an intense high-octane action-packed drama ‘Tanaav’ gets a thumbs up from the core audience. ‘Tanaav’ may not be as politically deep as ‘Fauda’ but it has enough for the generic target audience.
Performances are in top order
Manav Vij as Kabir Farooqui gets it perfect this time as well. Gaurav Arora as Fareed Mir gets an opportunity to add on to its subtle intensity.
