Half Love, Half Arranged season 2 review: A journey of self-discovery and modern-day romance peppered with lots of love and laughter

What: We loved Riya and her quirky family in the first season of Half Love, Half Arranged. The slice of life story, a lived-in milieu in the heart of Delhi sets the mood for a healthy and harmless indulgence in sitcom not only with the characters, but also with the curve that sees conflict, complications and growth. Helmed by Simarpreet Singh, Season 2 dives deep into the intricacies of modern relationships, and what could be more complex than a love triangle?

Half Love, Half Arranged season 2 synopsis

Riya’s seemingly perfect romance with Jogi takes a new turn when she meets Ved, a charming and genuine guy who quickly becomes a part of her life. The tension between past love and new beginnings will have the viewers wondering who Riya should ultimately choose while prompting reflection on their own love lives.

Half Love, Half Arranged season 2 review

What makes this series truly special is the lovely Tanwar family, whose quirks and hilarious antics never fail to entertain. This new season amplifies their out-of-the-box thinking and chaotic, yet heartwarming moments. From family dinner disasters to playful pranks, and emotional support, the Tanwars remain the comedic heart of the series. Their unconditional love and support for Riya add an extra layer of warmth to the storyline, making us root for them just as much as we do for Riya herself.

The magic of Season 2 lies in the return of fan-favourites, Karan Wahi and Maanvi Gagroo, as Jogi and Riya. Their on-screen chemistry remains one of the show’s strongest elements, and it’s exciting to see them return with even greater depth in their roles. But the excitement doesn’t stop there as Rithvikk Dhanjani joins the cast as Ved, a character who adds a fresh dynamic to the love story. His dynamics with Riya feel real and heartfelt. With his undeniable charm, Rithvikk perfectly balances the romantic tension, making this season even more captivating.

With the motto of ‘My Life, My Rules’, Riya continues to be on the self-exploration journey, learning to balance her personal and professional life. She's stuck in the middle of society's standards with people around her pressuring her to get married. Soon Riya decides to follow her own plan in life, which led her to learn how important it is to accept change. Riya’s journey will inspire viewers to live life fully and not let society tell you how to live. In the second season, we see Maanvi Gagroo owning the space that her Rhea inhabits, imbuing her with an unmistakable vulnerability and confidence of a modern-day girl who doesn’t have qualms about her frailties.

Karan Wahi, as Jogi, lends significant support to Maanvi. The adorable pair embark on a love-filled journey of self-exploration and finding their perfect match. The duo is being seen together on-screen for the first time, and viewers will be all heart-eyes for them. Karan’s charming personality and Maanvi’s beautiful smile in their new love story makes us smile and keeps us entertained with lots of fun moments.

This season is not just about love, it’s about discovering who you are amidst it all. Riya's journey highlights the conflicts of today’s generation– balancing family expectations, love, and personal happiness. As she navigates the ups and downs of her relationships with Jogi and Ved, Riya must confront her desires in life and love, and how much she’s willing to compromise. This season beautifully captures the balancing act of relationships and self-discovery, resonating with anyone who has ever questioned their choices.
