One of the fastest-growing streaming platforms in India, Voot has emerged as the main hub of entertainment for audiences across the country with its diverse content offering. In an endeavour to push the envelope of quality content within its ever-expanding repertoire, the streamer is all set to launch a contemporary crime thriller series, titled ‘Cyber Vaar– Har Screen Crime Scene’.
Spanning seven episodes, the upcoming series will take viewers by a hair-raising experience as it taps into the rising threat of cybercrime looming over Mumbai, which will unfold exclusively on Voot from 10th June 2022! Cyber Vaar – Har Screen Crime Scene marks the OTT debut of popular television actor Mohit Malik, who plays the protagonist in this crime thriller alongside Sanaya Irani as the leading lady.
Talking about his maiden show in the OTT space, Mohit Malik shared, “Stepping into the shoes of ACP Akash Malik was a terrific learning process. I have personally been a victim of cyber crime when my account was hacked, and I had to pay a visit to the cyber cell. Trust me, the operations there were so smooth. It was a truly a hassle-free experience and they solved my case. While reading the script of Cyber Vaar, I realised that there are so many problems one is not aware of, the cyber world is infinite. Just like one handles life, your online life needs attention too! I want to extend gratitude to all those heroes who work for the country's security. With Voot coming on board I am sure the story will reach every length and breadth of the country.”
The female lead of ‘Cyber Vaar – Har Screen Crime Scene’, Sanaya Irani added, “For me, essaying the role of a cybersecurity expert in the series was an enriching experience altogether. Ananya Saini is a Cyber expert. I am thrilled to be a part of Cyber Vaar which throws light on the rising threat of cybercrimes. While digital is proliferating at a rapid space, this kind of web series is relevant to the audience. Especially for vulnerable people, it is important to be alert, proactive and informed in the world of internet. With Voot coming onboard, we are confident it will reach maximum number of people”
