Amazon miniTV – Amazon’s free video streaming service, recently premiered a short film, Capital A small a. The short film revolves around the lives of two teenagers - Aanshi, played by Revathi Pillai, and Aadi, played by Darsheel Safary. Aanshi is a romantic at heart, while Aadi is a complete flirt; the two instantly click when they meet for the first time and build a connection. But things go downhill when their friends and classmates start making jokes about the difference in their heights. This sweet story of schooltime sweethearts explores the innocence of teenage love and will take you to a nostalgic road of your school days. While talking about their latest release, the cast also shared a few things about their first crushes. Here is what they had to say:
“It was a little embarrassing for me but it worked out well and then we became best friends,” said Revathi Pillai “There was this guy in my class and it was my birthday, so I gave him one extra chocolate and the whole class and my best friend back then actually yelled out and said, “Why did you give him an extra chocolate, I saw that- I am your best friend, tune mujhe ek hi chocolate diya!” And it is very obvious that if you give like two chocolates to somebody it’s like ‘that’ person. So this is what happened with me and then he got to know that I had a crush on him.The next day we had our computer period and he sat behind me and asked for a pen. Then he stuck that pen in my hair! Turns out, even he had a thing for me. Then eventually we started talking and became best friends and became inseparable.” said Revathi Pillai
“So my first crush was in the first standard. I remember her with her two ponytails, spectacles, and this very typical expression that she had. That being said, it was her smile that I had fallen for. She was the first girl I sat next to at school and we used to talk and it didn’t feel like I was talking to a girl, it felt like it was a friend only. A few days passed and I was wearing my shoes outside my house and I was like, ‘I can see her everywhere’!” said Darsheel Safary
Produced by On the Ball Productions, directed and co-written by Sumit Suresh Kumar along with Gaurav Joshi, the short film is now streaming on Amazon miniTV for free!
