Victoria Alonso the force behind Marvel Studios global blockbusters “The Avengers”, “Iron Man,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” etc has quit.
According to a report in Variety, Victoria Alonso who joined Marvel Studios in 2006 as executive vice president of visual effects and post-production suddenly has quit the studios last Friday.
Victoria Alonso served as co-producer on Marvel Cinematic Universe films like “Iron Man,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor” and “Captain America: The First Avenger.”.
An executive producer on every Marvel Studios film and TV show since 2012 Victoria Alonso was promoted to executive VP of production, and in 2021 she was further promoted as President of physical, post production, VFX and animation at Marvel Studios.
Recently the VFX of Marvel Studios “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” came under fire.
Victoria Alonso is credited as a producer on the upcoming Marvel films like “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” and “The Marvels,” plus the Disney+ shows “Secret Invasion,” “Ironheart,” etc.
Victoria Alonso also was one of the producers of Amazon’s award winning legal drama “Argentina, 1985”.
Born in La Plata, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Victoria Alonso moved to Seattle at the age of 19 to pursue an acting career. From Los Angeles Victoria started working in the visual effects industry as a visual effects producer working on films such as Big Fish (2003), which was nominated for Best Special Visual Effects at the 57th British Academy Film Awards.
