Vikram Vedha Teaser: All Look No Hook?!, Hrithik, Saif No Match Against Madhavan, Sethupathi
The teaser of the highly publicized Hindi remake of the cult Tamil action thriller Vikram Vedha is out and it’s all look no hook, a disappointment.
Well, you will find many bowled over by Hrithik Roshan’s look as deadly Vedha but in comparison to the original Vedha played by Vijay Sethupathi, Hrithik Roshan is not at all at par.
At one point, Hrithik looked like a maniac, while Vijay Vijay Sethupathi was all cool with brilliant nuances throughout.
Coming to Saif Ali Khan, God knows why the talented director duo Pushkar and Gayathri, focused it more on Vedha – Hrithik Roshan. The teaser opens with Hrithik and Saif sitting across each other on the interrogation table and unbelievably Vikram played by Saif doesn,t say a single word.
I can understand the pressure on Pushkar and Gayathri to not make a frame to frame remake but in the whole 1.28 minute teaser, Saif doesn,t utter a single dialogue. Kyu bhai. Is Vikram silent (mute) in the film?
Hrithik says, "Ek kahani sunaiye sir... sabar aur dhyan dono sai suniyega. Isbar sirf mazza hi nahi, tajub bhi hoga (Shall I tell you a story. Listen carefully and patiently. This time it wont just be fun, but there's also a surprise)".
Towards the end of the clip, Hrithik says to Saif, “ "It's easy to choose between good and bad. But in this story, both are bad" ( iha dono bure hai). Why this Bhojpuri accent? (what was the need).
Watch the Hindi version of original Tamil Vikram Vedha in Disney+Hotstar it’s fantastically dubbed.
The BGM was loud and that ad featuring our Nation’s Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra after the teaser was unnecessarily funny.
Anyone who has watched the original Tamil version will agree to what I am saying.
Still doubt watch the Hindi and Tamil teaser of Vikram Vedha
Vikram Vedha is a remake of the 2017 Tamil film of the same name, starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. The Hindi version also stars Radhika Apte, Rohit Saraf and Satyadeep Misra in pivotal roles. It is slated to hit the theatres on September 30, 2022
