The much-awaited trailer of filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's The Vaccine War is out. Starring Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Sapthami Gowda and Pallavi Joshi in the lead roles, the film is said to be India's first-ever Bio-science film and also a true story. The trailer shows the struggle of Indian scientists during the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
Nana Patekar is the head of scientists, who leads an impeccable team to create history - India's first vaccine against Covid-19. Tackling all issues like budget constraints to negative narratives in the media, the scientists stand tall and thwart all hurdles. In its due course, The Vaccine War also underlines women empowerment as Nana Patekar’s team has all women scientist working on the vaccine.
Anupam Kher seems to be playing the role of PM. Raima Sen seems to be the journalists from the left front or say anti-government whose aim is to malign the efforts of the brave Indian scientist.
Vasant Dev’s Shristhi Se Pehle from Bharat Ek Khoj is brilliantly used here which gives an overwhelming feeling.
The description of the film reads, “The Vaccine War talks about the struggle of Indian scientists behind the development of vaccines and also unfolds many stories that went behind the curtains.” It is produced by Pallavi Joshi and I Am Buddha.
