Veteran actress Padma Shri Sulochna Latkar Passes Away

Veteran Marathi and Hindi actress Sulochna Latkar is no more. She was 94.

It is reported that Sulochana Latkar passed away due to age-related illness in a hospital in Mumbai today – June 06, 2023 at 6pm.

Sulochana's daughter Kanchan Ghanekar has reportedly confirmed this news to the media.

As per reports, Sulochana Latkar’s mortal remains will be kept at her house in Prabhadevi for the final darshan at home and then the last rites will be performed at the cremation ground at Shivaji Park.

Sulochana Latkar well-known actress of Marathi and Hindi cinema has acted in 50 films in Marathi and around 250 films in Hindi. She is remembered for her performance in Marathi films Vahinichya Bangdya (1953), Meeth Bhakar etc. in the lead roles,

Sulochana Latkar was known for her role as mother in Hindi films. Sulochana Latkar died due to prolonged illness and age related complications at Shushrusha Hospital in Dadar

Sulochana has been awarded the Padma Shri Award in 1999, the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004, and the prestigious Maharashtra Bhushan Award in 2009 from the Government of Maharashtra.
