Sooryavanshi to release on Diwali, Rohit Shetty shares photo with CM Uddhav Thackeray.

Finally, the much awaited mass bonanaza Sooryavanshi by Rohit Shetty is set for Diwali 2021 release.

Produced by Reliance Entertainment, Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films, Sooryavanshi is the fourth installment of Shetty's Cop Universe, it stars Akshay Kumar as Anti-Terrorism Squad chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi opposite Katrina Kaif with supporting cast of Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Vivan Bhatena, Sikandar Kher, Nikitin Dheer and Javed Jaffrey.

Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in extended cameo appearances reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba from the franchise's previous films.

The release confirmation came shortly after Maharashtra announced that theatres will be opened in the state in October.

Rohit Shetty tweeted an image with Thackeray and wrote, “Thanks to our Honourable Chief Minister, Shri Uddhav Thackeray, theatres in Maharashtra to reopen from 22nd October.

And FINALLY!!! we can say, This DIWALI… AA RAHI HAI POLICE…”
