The trailer for Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur got unveiled today. The film based on the fearless Indian Sam Manekshaw sees Vicky Kaushal playing the fearless Indian Field Marshal.
The period film also stars Fatima Sana Shaikh as late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Sam Bahadur also features Sanya Malhotra as Silloo, Sam's wife.
Vicky, who last collaborated with filmmaker Meghna Gulzar on the spy thriller Raazi.
After the inspiring teaser, the trailer sees the forty year old journey of India's first Field Marshal. Sam Manekshaw was extremely brave fearless and dedicated to the service of his motherland India.
Sam Bahadur didn’t fear even the Prime Minister of that time Smt. Indira Gandhi. The film is set in the late 1960s and early '70s.
Sam Bahadur will hit theatres on December 1. It is written by Bhavani Iyer, Shantanu Shrivastava and Meghna Gulzar. Shot in Punjab, Kashmir and Delhi, the movie is produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies.
