Salman Khan: Firing outside superstar residence, here is the latest on what action Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde has taken

Today morning at 4:50 am two unidentified persons opened fire outside the residence of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in Mumbai. as per reports the in identified men riding on a bike fired three rounds outside the superstar Galaxy Apartments in Bandra where the actor lives.

As per reports, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has spoken to Salman Khan over a phone and assured him complete protection.

Reports further says that the Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde held discussions with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and suggested increasing Salman Khan’s security.

As per reports, a case has been registered against the unknown persons in connection to the firing outside Salman Khan’s residence.

As many as 15 police teams have been formed to track down and nab the accused, add sources. The Maharashtra Government has appointed Mumbai’s top cops, including Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Lakhmi Gautam and encounter specialist Daya Nayak to investigate the case.

Salman Khan was present in his home at the time of the incident, and luckily no one was harmed during the firing as according to Mumbai Police the bullets were fired in the air.

Security has been beefed up outside Khan’s residence, where police officials and forensic experts were also seen conducting their probe.

Raj Tilak Roushan, DCP Mumbai, told news agency ANI, “Today at around 5 am, two unidentified people opened fire outside the house of actor Salman Khan in Bandra. Police have received information about 3 rounds of firing. A case has been registered and an investigation is underway in the case,” adding that “no one was injured in the firing incident.”

It must be recalled that last year, Salman Khan had received a threat e-mail from Canada-based fugitive gangster Goldy Brar, who had openly threatened Salman Khan and said that Salman Khan is on his gang’s hit-list.

Mumbai Police had registered an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar and another person under IPC Sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 34 (common intention).

The Bollywood superstar was granted Y+ security after the threat.
