Parineeta, Mardaani fame director Pradeep Sarkar passes away
Filmmaker Pradeep Sarkar is no more. Today at 3:30 am the director of acclaimed movies like Parineeta, Mardaani etc breathed his last. He was 68.
According to reports, Pradeep Sarkar was on dialysis and his potassium levels had dropped alarmingly. He was rushed to hospital around 3am and passed away when he reached the hospital.
Condolences have started pouring in from Ajay Devgn, Manoj Bajpayee, Neetu Chandra etc.

According to reports, actress Neetu Chandra, who was very close to Pradeep Sarkar confirmed his demise on Twitter. She wrote, "Very sad to know about our dearest director @pradeepsrkar dada. I started my career with him. He had an aesthetic talent to make his films look larger than life. From #Parineeta #lagachunrimeindaag to a no. Of movies. Dada, you will be be missed. #RestInPeace (sic)."

Started his career with the national award winning Parineeta Vidya Balan in lead, before entering into films Pradeep Sarkar was in the advertising as Creative Director - Art, he began his directorial journey as an ad-film maker.
Pradeep Sarkar has won the Abby Award, Rapa Award as well.
Pradeep later on made Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Lafangey Parindey, Mardaani and Eela.
