Fairy Folk will be the first Indian film to be screened in the Outlook Competition category for the Q-Hugo Award for the Best LGBTQ Film and also in the Comedy Section of the prestigious Amercian festival.
After making waves at the Sydney Film Festival, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, and winning multiple awards at the Yellowstone International Film Festival in Delhi, director Karan Gour’s improvisational dramedy Fairy Folk is all set to take over The Chicago Film Festival on Oct 22 and Oct.
Produced by Annukampa Harsh, Timbuktu Films (actors Nakuul Mehta, Alekh Sangal, film maker Ajay Singh), and a few others, the film marks the first ever feature film appearance together for real life husband-wife actor duo Mukul Chadda and Rasika Dugal.
One of India’s first improvisational new age fantasy films, Fairy Folk is writer-director Karan Gour’s labour of love after his last much lauded outing Kshay. He is also known for his association with films like Titli, NH10, Natkhat etc.
