Beginning with Gadar 2, the sequel of the 2001 box office phenomenon Gadar starring Sunny Deol has had a smashing beginning.
Registering Bollywood's second-biggest opening of 2023, the movie has reportedly broken single screen records registering a whooping Rs 40 crore collection on its opening day in theatres.
Gadar has uprooted the blunder of the century Prabhas starrer Adipurush which reportedly registered 32 crores on day one in Hindi.
However, King Khan Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan mind blowing 55 cores day one holds the posituon of the highest opener.

OMG 2-day one box office collection
The sequel of the 2012 money spinner OMG which starred Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar, the Pankaj Tripathi Akshay Kumar starrer directed by Amit Rai is decent with reportedly collecting 10.26 core on day one.
Based on the sensitive, important, bold and relevant issue of sex education, the movie shows Pankaj Tripathi playing the role of Kanti Sharan Mudgal a staunch devotee of Lord Shiva and Akshay Kumar playing messenger of Lord Shiva.
Conclusion
Gadar 2 is receiving mix reactions shifting towards the negative side in our opinion. The Gadar popularity and Sunny Deol’s plus the weekend followed by holidays will ensure a 125+ core collection. The movie may drop after August 15 2023 due to lack of merits.
Our cineblues review by Vishal Verma mentions that Gadar 2 in the end is designed as a fan pleasing service that wants to cash on a 22-year-old box office history. The movie disappoints and has unbelievably not repeated the iconic hand pump scene from the original Gadar.
OMG 2 has begun on a decent note and is most likely to benefit from the word of mouth due to its powerful content and wonderful execution.
It won’t be a surprise if OMG 2 shows significant jump and maintains it well.
