Esmayeel Shroff, who launched Govinda’s career in Bollywood in 1986, died in Mumbai. He was 62. The actor recalled the late filmmaker played a big role in making him the Govinda he is today. Padmini Kolhapure also paid her tribute to Esmayeel Shroff, calling him a ‘very sensitive director’.
Esmayeel Shroff died in Mumbai on Wednesday following an illness, as per reports. The director had been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai, reportedly almost a month ago after suffering a heart attack. He was 62.
