Amitabh Bachchan gets injured during 'Project K' shooting, back in Mumbai, details inside
The icon for the icons Mr. Amitabh Bachchan has met with an injury during the shooting of his upcoming film 'Project K' in Hyderabad.
Sharing his health update on his blog, Mr. Bachchan said that he is currently taking rest at his Mumbai home. It will take a few weeks for him to recover.
Amitabh Bachchan has reportedly suffered a muscle tear to the right rib cage during an action sequence.
Big B further said in his blog the shoot had to be cancelled as it will take him weeks to recover from the injury.
It is reported that after the injury, Mr. Bachchan consulted a doctor and underwent a CT scan at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flew back home. Doctors have advised him rest as the injury will take at least a few weeks to get better.
"It's painful while breathing and making movement," the superstar admitted while adding that he is taking medicines for pain relief. So, work has been postponed for the moment," Mr. Amitabh Bachchan has been reportedly quoted saying.
Amitabh Bachchan’s diehard fans will not be able to see their idol outside Jalsa as he will be available on mobile but will be mostly on bed rest.
"I won't be able to meet my well-wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening. So, do not come and inform as many people you can," he said before concluding with "Rest all is well".

In Hyderabad at the shoot for Project K, during an action shot, I have got injured ... rib cartilage popped broke and muscle tear to the right rib cage ... cancelled shoot ... did Doctor consult and scan by CT at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad and flown back home ... strapping has been done and rest been advocated .. yes painful ... on movement and breathing ... will take some weeks they say before some normalisation will occur ... some medication is on also for pain ...
So, all work that was to be done has been suspended and cancelled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs ...
I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities ... but yes in rest and generally lying around ...
It shall be difficult or let me say ... I shall be unable to meet, the well-wishers at Jalsa Gate this evening ... so do not come ... and do inform as much as you can to those that intend coming ...
All else is well ..."
Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, Project K (working title) is a science fiction film simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi languages.
The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone (in her Telugu film debut) and Disha Patani.
