The year was 2007. It was Farah Khan's 2nd directorial venture centered around a reincarnation drama. Yes, I am talking about Om Shanti Om, starring superstar Shahrukh Khan alongside a newcomer - the elegant, perky and piquant Deepika Padukone. The film was a roaring conmercial success with some amazing chartbuster songs. The SRK-Deepika pair got instant and immense adulation.
6 years later, in 2013,the pair was seen in Rohit Shetty's cross-cultural romance 'Chennai Express', again a blockbuster by all means. It was soon followed by Farah Khan's Happy New Year where their chemistry scorched the screens.
Cut to 2023. SRK's comeback after a 5 year hiatus in the recently released "Pathaan" forged cosmic numbers at the Box Office and joined the league of Spies in YRF's Spy Universe. But much before the release of Pathaan, the one song that was mired in controversies was 'Besharam Rang' which had the sizzling Deepika gyrating to the beats while Shahrukh getting gradually intoxicated by the dervish moves.
The SRK-Deepika chemistry sizzled the screen with both romance and action. SRK at 57, looked super cool with the 6 pack chiseled abs while Dips exuded tremendous oomph and incredible sex appeal. Together, they were terrific.
