Today Nutan’s 85th birth anniversary. Nutan went on to work in more than 70 Hindi films in a career spanning over 40 years. On February 21, 1991, she finally said goodbye to the world. Her son Mohnish Bahl works in the movie and granddaughter Pranutan also ventured into Bollywood. Milan (1967) - The movie was a remake of the hit Telugu re-incarnation drama, 'Mooga Manasalu'

Saudagar (1973) - Based on a Bengali story called 'Ras', the movie had Nutan and then rising star Amitabh Bachchan in the lead. The film was India's entry to the Best foreign Film category at the 46th Academy Awards. 

Tere Ghar Ke Samne (1963) - A huge hit all over India, the film was directed by Vijay Anand and had Nutan starring opposite Dev Anand.

Chhalia (1960)- In this Manmohan Desai drama, Nutan starred alongside Raj Kapoor, Pran and Rehman. The film deals with the life of women and children suffering the aftermath of the India partition.

Paying Guest (1957) - Directed by Subodh Mukherjee, the film had Nutan playing the lead along with Dev Anand. The film was a big hit and the soundtrack by Sachin Dev Burman made a lasting impression
