Katrina Kaif, Rubina Dilaik, Disha Parmar and others celebrate Karwa Chauth

Karwa Chauth is a festival celebrated by Hindus, more specifically Nepalis and Northern-Western Indian women on the fourth day after Purnima (a full moon) in the month of Ashwin. Like many Hindu festivals, Karwa Chauth is based on the lunisolar calendar which accounts for all astronomical positions, especially positions of the moon which is used as a marker to calculate important dates. The festival falls on the fourth day after the full moon.

 

Karwa Chauth is a holy festival celebrated by Hindu women for the long life of their husband. Photos and videos of the festivities on social media showed that Bollywood celebs like Katrina Kaif, Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Neelam Kothari, and others too were out celebrating Karwa Chauth with enthusiasm. Many actors have been seen outside the house of Anil Kapoor for Karwa Chauth festivities.

 

Bollywood beauty couple Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal celebrate first Karwa Chauth. Katrina shared pictures and wrote, "Pehla Karwa Chauth." In the images, Katrina looks stunning in a pink saree, while Vicky can be seen in a white kurta pyjama set.
